D B Books offers assistance to new authors and authors who have written their novels,
but need help with the next step. Ours services are designed and geared specifically to
those who know that budget is a great concern. Having gone through the pitfalls of self
production, we understand the points of concern. Each of our services are designed
with you, the author, in mind.
As you may have noticed, I used the wordage 'Self Production' and not 'Self Publishing'.
What is the difference you might say? In my concept, Self Production is taking on the
role of being your own Project Manager. Your work is important to only one person,
YOU! So, Self Production is taking your work through the step by step process of
producing a book(s) for sale. Now, you might say "Well, that sounds a lot like self
publishing!" The truth be told, the difference is you are in charge all the way. From
design layout, font selection, to front, spine and back cover design.
There are many vendors dedicated to "Self Publishing" your work. You pay them their
fee and your book is listed on their website. You get a royalty check, if you're lucky,
maybe once or twice a year. You've become lost in the wave of other authors who
thought that self publishing was a new way of having a "publisher" out producing and
selling your work. The life of a writer was at hand. Then, cold, harsh reality sets in, your
stuck with something that is not working the way you thought it should be. What to do?
Well, it's not as bad as you'd think. But, in our busy time, and time is busy, help is out
